About Film
The Valley In The Struggle is a 30 minute documentary sharing the amazing story of the San Fernando Valley’s participation in fighting for farm worker justice. Together, the UFW and residents of the valley boycotted local grocery stores, picketed farm fields and marched the 340 mile Peregrinacion (Pilgrimage), all in the name of civil rights and dignity. Together, Cesar Chavez and the San Fernando Valley sacrificed their lives to create a better tomorrow, not only for their Mexican-American brothers and sisters, but for the greater American community. The sacrifices of those who fought for justice in the San Fernando Valley, solidified their rightful place in American History.
